Our Mission

The Friends of the Sisters Library is an association of persons interested in the Sisters Library. Our mission is to stimulate the use of the Sisters Library's resources and services; to encourage and receive gifts, endowments and bequests to the Sisters Library; to support and cooperate with the Sisters Library in developing library services and facilities for the community and to support the freedom to read as expressed in the American Library Association's Bill of Rights.

Cookbook Fundraiser Project Underway

  "What's Cooking In Sisters" is being prepared for its 10th printing and will be available this spring for purchase. Volunteers are needed to help with marketing and sales of cookbooks. If you have the time and interest to help us a few hours per month on this fun and worthwhile project, please contact Linda Davis at tomlin@bendcable.com, or phone her at 549-1222.


 

The Friends Book Corner is Open

The Friends of the Sisters Library has a continuous used book sale at the corner of the library next to the book drop.  It is open every Tuesday and Saturday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
 
There are fiction and non-fiction books, paperbacks, hardbacks, CDs, DVDs, Videos and Children's books for sale from 25 cents to $3.00.  Special books are priced separately.  Donations of used books are welcome during the book sale open hours.  Remember that donations should be in good condition with no water, dirt or mold damage.  The Friends do not accept magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, or computer books.
